Boil water and add salt and a teaspoon of oil. In a bowl add rice flour and semolina and salt. Mix well. Add raw blended carrot puree to the flour mixture. Mix well.
Boil 1/2 cup water with little oil and salt. Add little water required to the rice carrot flour mixture.Let it rest.
Heat oil in a wok on medium flame. Add mustard seeds bengal gram and let it splutter. Add dried chillies, onion, and asafoetida and saute well. Add curry leaves and shredded coconut and switch off the flame. Let it cool.
Add the tempered mixture to the carrot rice flour mixture and mix well. Check salt according to taste. Make small round balls like kollukattais.
Grease oil on idli plates and steam for 10 minutes. Yummy healthy Carrot kollukattais are ready to serve with ketchup.
